How to Make Your Own Chalkboard Paint

Now that you know a variety of fun ways to use chalkboards in your wedding decor, ready to learn how to easily an inexpensively make your own chalkboard paint (in any color you want)?!

You’ll need:

  • 1/2 cup acrylic paint (any shade, or you can mix)
  • 1 tablespoon non-sanded grout
Simply mix your paint and grout until it’s smooth, and you’re ready to paint! For my own project (shown below), I painted the glass of a picture frame, so it took a few coats to fully cover it. Easy enough, right?

I love this roundup. Chalkboards are always such a cute detail. They can also be cost effective since it saves on printing costs. I used a vintage one for our wedding menu :)
