{DIY} Glittered Pumpkins

by Ashley on October 11, 2011

I have been dying to make these DIY glittered pumpkins by Martha Stewart, and now that it’s officially fall I have the perfect excuse! They make a beautiful statement in your front entryway, but you can also use them to adorn your mantle or as a festive centerpiece at your next dinner party. They are easy to make, and best of all they will last through the harvest season!

To make your own glittered pumpkins, all you need is glitter in a few color variations, several pumpkins of diverse shapes and sizes, spray-on glue and a magazine. Set the pumpkin on the magazine, spray a large area of the pumpkin surface with the glue, sprinkle the glitter over the area, and repeat until the pumpkin is completely covered. When you are finished, simply roll up the magazine and pour the excess glitter back into the container. Wait about an hour for the pumpkins to dry and Voila!, you have a simple and affordable accent piece to display for the fall season!
