{DIY} Monogrammed Mugs

by Nicole on September 21, 2011

Last Christmas, I tried to get creative with stocking stuffers to build out gifts inexpensively and from the heart. One of the projects I created were these simple yet cute monogrammed mugs (which I then stuffed with hot coco and marshmallows). As cooler weather continues to rush in, I wanted to share the idea, because I think they work perfectly as stocking stuffers, cool weather wedding favors, hostess gifts for all those holiday parties, or simply to enjoy your own warm beverages in at home.

All you need to create this look are mugs (I picked up mine from the Dollar Tree) and a porcelain pen! I also used graphite paper to pre-trace my letters, which I first printed off the computer in the size and font I liked best, but if you’re more artistic than me, you probably won’t need to do that ;)

Have fun!

I got my porcelain pen at Michael’s — they have lots of colors to choose from! The graphite paper simply lets you trace your artwork onto the mug before you go ahead with the porcelain pen. It wipes away easily, so it’s an easy way to give yourself a guide on the mug. Hope that helps!
