It occurred to me this week that although I write what is most-of-the-time a wedding blog, I haven’t really blogged too much about one of the most important pieces of reception decor: the wedding cake!
Thanks to my obsession with Pinterest, I’ve been discovering some pretty amazing ones lately, and so I deemed in necessary to devote today’s Fab Friday Finds to them. Enjoy…
1. Bunting Beauty. Bunting is something I wasn’t aware of when planning my big day, but now that I’ve discovered it I’ve become obsessed, and I’m loving this colorful bunting beauty by Nine Cakes.
2. I Heart You. This cake might just be one of the most fun and stunning cakes I’ve seen lately. I really just love the simplicity and the single heart…I’m swooning! Although I doubt I have the skills to make it, Bakerella shares the tutorial if you want to take a stab at it.
3. Filigree Heart Wedding Cake. Jay Qualls of Tennessee-based Maples Wedding Cakes printed this cake’s design on paper, covered them in parchment, traced them with royal icing, then transferred them onto fondant. Amazing, right? Martha Stewart Weddings has more on how this beauty was made.
4. Pure Gold. This cake is simply stunning. Talk about pure gold! I found this one on Pinterest, but it’s created by My Sweet & Saucy if you want to see more.

Also, don’t forget that I’m giving away a pear of gorgeous pearl earrings tonight at 5pm (EDT). Get your entries in while you can!
