Getting Married in Vegas: 4 Ideas You May Not Have Considered

by Nicole on August 17, 2011

When I imagine couples heading off to Vegas to tie the knot, what initially comes to mind is the sight of Elvis and a little white drive-through wedding chapel. But thanks to a recent pitch I received, my eyes have been opened to all the very cool Vegas wedding possibilities, and I just had to share!

Erupting With Love

Share the passion of love by tying the knot in front of The Mirage Volcano. Couples can choose to mark the start of their life together with a tranquil daytime volcano bearing witness or with a thrilling boom from the world-famous volcano at night, complete with cascading waterfalls, lagoons, fireballs and red-hot lava.

Fly to the Future

Adventurous spirits can celebrate the thrill of saying “I Do” at 67 mph on The Roller Coaster at New York-New York. After exchanging vows in the coaster train with the couple’s guests seated behind, The Roller Coaster whisks the newlyweds and wedding party off to a new beginning through the glamour of New York-New York’s skyline. With this unique ceremony, couples get to instantly increase the wedding excitement as The Roller Coaster soars along the famous “heartline” twist that simulates a jet fighter’s barrel roll.

Luxurious Bliss

Bellagio’s Terrazza Di Sogno (Italian for “Terrace of Dreams”) offers a romantic beginning for a new life together. Surrounded by elegant spring flora and overlooking The Fountains of Bellagio, couples indulge in a stylish and unique wedding experience. Lovers can immortalize their first kiss as a married couple with a majestic show of their choice from The Fountains.

The Beach

Voted by The Knot as the Best Place for a Las Vegas Wedding in 2011, Mandalay Bay leaves nothing to chance with its exquisite wedding venues. Lovebirds can get hitched at the sophisticated and modern chapels with two-story windows overlooking Mandalay Bay Beach; experience an outdoor, ultra-posh wedding ceremony at one of the highly coveted beachside cabanas during the day; or enjoy a private, nighttime affair right on the sand. With the exotic, tropical shores of Mandalay Bay Beach as the picturesque backdrop, couples are sure to begin their wedded life on the right note.

Cool, right?

The word “tempting” in this comment scares me just a bit, Carla ;)
