Kelsey & Randy’s Laid-back Ocean-side Wedding

by Nicole on March 16, 2011

Today, I’m excited to bring you a laid-back real wedding feature, complete with a gorgeous bride!

Kelsey and Randy met on the beaches of San Diego where they both worked as lifeguards, so it was important for them to draw from their beach roots when they were setting the tone for their wedding. And while the wedding wasn’t on the beach, the two still wore sandals as they tied the knot at a park overlooking the ocean at Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego (the bride’s alma mater). Can I mention that I’m obsessed with the trees?!

Oh yeah, and Kesley and her mom MADE her wedding dress! Talk about DIY!

After the ceremony, the newlyweds headed to the ZLAC Rowing Club (built in the 1920′s) for their surfer’s lounge-inspired reception, complete with an authentic taco cart, quesadillas and a nacho bar! Mmm…

Thanks, Kesley for sharing your big day with me!

I know, right? And I can’t believe that dress was a DIY project!
