Meet My Florist: Samuel Franklin

The “Meet My Vendors” series is my attempt to help other East Tennessee brides choose wedding vendors. This series presents my dead honest reviews of the people who made my big day possible.

Oddly enough, of all the vendors I needed for my wedding day, I met with more florists than any other vendor. Honestly, flowers were the thing I was most unsure of in my vision, and I wanted a florist who could guide me. I absolutely found that in Samuel Franklin.

On my first meeting, he spent almost two hours with me — explaining all types of flowers, all the colors each flower I liked came in, etc. He completely walked me through everything and made me really realize my floral vision. I knew at that first meeting that my search for a florist was finally over.

Of course, at the first meeting I had him quote everything I might want (without letting him know my budget), and as to be expected, it came in well above what I really had to spend. However, when I met with Sam again, he was completely flexible and helped me bring my vision down to fit within my means — Hint: use hydrangeas! They’re cheap ;)

But it wasn’t until November 6 that I truly knew I chose the right florist. Everything was *perfect* and exactly how I wanted it. In addition, Sam let me borrow all the vases and accessories I needed at NO COST. Crazy, right? Every other florist I met with was going to charge me rental fees!

Overall, Sam did an amazing job! He was great to work with, and he does awesome work. I would highly recommend him to any East Tennessee bride!
