The “Meet My Vendors” series is my attempt to help other East Tennessee brides choose wedding vendors. This series presents my dead honest reviews of the people who made my big day possible.
Alright, I know…it’s been over 6 months from my wedding day, and I’m still reviewing vendors. But I’ve been a pretty busy, so that’s my excuse and I’m stickin’ to it ;)
Anyway, today I’d like you to meet Rev. Carolyn Claiborne, the wonderful woman who officiated Michael & I’s wedding.
Just to give you a bit of background, Michael and I have no religious affiliations, so finding an officiant was one of our hardest tasks. We wanted to find someone who would let our ceremony be completely ours, without trying to hammer in themes that we don’t necessarily believe in. We found that in Rev. Carolyn.
What’s so unique about Rev. Carolyn is that she lets you completely build your ideal wedding ceremony. After signing with Rev. Carolyn, she sent Michael and I packets of information to help us get started in building our ceremony. Then, the two of us got to sit down and choose the verbiage that we felt best suited us. And anything we wanted to change, we were able to.
In addition, Rev. Carolyn is the one who told us about the awesome wine and love letter box ritual that everyone liked so much.
She helped us build a one-of-a-kind wedding ceremony that was unlike any other wedding I’ve been to and also so completely us, and Michael and I could not have been happier! She was a great resource to us in our wedding planning, and I would highly recommend her to any couple looking to build a truly unique wedding ceremony.
She’s based in East Tennessee, so she regularly serves couples throughout
all of East and Northeast Tennessee, in addition to surrounding states like North Carolina, Virginia and Kentucky. But I believe she’ll travel anywhere, so if you’re interested, be sure to check out Rev. Carolyn!
