Today’s post is a guest post from Lizzie Smithson, who runs the blog Lizzie & Isiaih’s $10,000 Wedding. If you can’t tell by the title, Lizzie and her hubby-to-be are planning a Chicago wedding for just $10,000 — which basically makes her a perfect fit to guest blog for The Plunge Project and a blogger to definitely add to your reader if you’re planning a wedding on-budget.
And now, to the post…
I haven’t been the biggest fan of color-boards so far…funny how inspiration strikes sometimes. Nature is really the greatest color-board, and no, I’m no granola, burlap-sac wearing green-body (thanks for being one for me, whoever you are). My personal philosophy regarding color palettes: It’s not the most fun part of planning, but has to be done because a comfortable palette sets the vibe of your wedding.
For your inspiration:
1. Perfect for a chic-garden wedding (the flower and the palette):
2. Soft, vintage feel for the spring/summer bride:
3. For your indie-festive wedding with that touch of grey for the guys:
