Pinterest: a Wedding Blogger’s Dream

Alright, tell me…who’s on Pinterest?

In case you haven’t heard, Pinterest is the latest online craze…especially in the wedding and event planning world…and I’m seriously addicted. I signed up a couple weeks ago, and kind of forgot about it, but once I started “pinning”, I haven’t been able to stop!

As explained on the site, “Pinterest lets you organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web. People use pinboards to plan their weddings, decorate their homes and organize their favorite recipes.”

I use it to keep track of all the blog worthy things I find, all the recipes I hope to make, cool DIY projects, home decor inspiration, event ideas and more (which you can pin using Pinterest’s awesome little browser widget)! But what I like most is that you can follow other people and their boards, which so far has really helped me discover things I probably wouldn’t have if it weren’t for Pinterest…which ultimately means more cool things to blog about!

If you’re on there, let me know and I’ll be sure to check out your pinboards. You can also follow me; I’m PRNicoleV :) Happy pinning!

Can’t tell you how many friends have said “…wish I would have found this before I got married.” I like it for food and house ideas.

It KILLS ME that I didn’t discover Pinterest until after my wedding! (actually right before, but all of my decisions had been made) – I was saving images to my hard drive and then uploading to various picasa web albums when all along, I could have been pinning breezily! So glad everyone else is as enthusiastic about Pinterest as I am, it makes me feel less crazy! ; )

I feel the exact same way! I’m jealous of all the brides who get to use it for planning their big days now…but it is an awesome resource for blog ideas, home decor, etc. :)

If you want your photos to be “Pinterest-friendly” then don’t make a collage out of them or stitch two together. The pre-grouped photos don’t look very good on Pinterest. And be sure to use nice, large images that will have impact on Pinterest. If you want to see what your photos look like to someone who wants to pin them, use the PinIt button and take a look.
