#WW Question: What style is your wedding band?

by Nicole on August 11, 2010

I’m pretty excited because today, on my lunch break, Michael and I are meeting up to go shopping for our wedding bands! I’ve tried on a few before, but I haven’t really found “the one” yet. So I’m curious, what’s your wedding band look like?

I’m actually thinking of trying to find a cool wrap or ring guard. While I haven’t tried any on yet, I really like the style pictured here. Has anyone else used one? I’ve heard pros and cons, but I just think they look really great with a solitaire engagement ring like I have.

So tell me, what style wedding band do you have? If you can, send me a link!

***UPDATE***

Michael and I found our rings! And like almost every element of the wedding, I went a completely different direction than I thought I would. While I like the idea of a guard/wrap, they looked pretty bulky on my size 4 finger. So instead, I went with a channel set band to accompany my solitaire engagement ring. Plus, this leaves some room open for Michael to pick up a matching one for the other side for an upcoming anniversary. We both win ; ) Oh, and he found an awesome titanium/carbon fiber band for 50% off! It was our lucky day.

I know! I found that online…but sadly when I tried ones like it on, they looked a little too big for my little finger. Oh well :)

My husband and I decided to forgo the wedding band for me (I have a simple, solitaire ring). About three months prior to our wedding, I lost my job and finances were tight. Instead of getting a band, we saved the money for household items and never looked back. Although I get the occasional question about it, it doesn’t bother me one bit! In times like this, I’m just happy to have a wonderful husband who loves me. ;)

I actually considered doing the exact same thing! I almost feel bad wearing SO much money on my one little finger, but I ultimately chose a pretty inexpensive channel set band that looks good with my solitaire ring, doesn’t overpower it, and is still affordable under our tight budget. Plus, I found out we can do lay-away WOO HOO ;) But I agree, having a loving husband is SO MUCH MORE important than having a bunch of diamonds on your finger!
