5 Useful Favor Ideas for Fall Weddings & Other Autumn Events

by Nicole on September 15, 2011

Choosing favors for your wedding or any other event can be a difficult task, and a lot of weddings offer the same old things that no one ever ends up using.

On the heels of last week’s post on fall wedding theme trends, I wanted to share a few of my favorite favors for fall that are not only a little different, but also very useable! So whether you’re planning for fall nuptials or simply hosting an autumn get-together, these favors are sure to satisfy your guests!

1. Brownie Favor Pops

I’m a huge fan of cake pops…or really anything on a stick for that matter…but I haven’t yet been able to truly master them at home. If you’re like me, you’ll be happy to know that Beau Coup actually sells these delicious little brownie pop favors in a variety of designs and colors! Add a cute little gift tag matching your event decor, and you’re ready to let your guests enjoy this treat.

2. Hot Sauce

Deep hues like oranges, rusts and browns are ultra popular for fall, so why not supplement an organic color scheme and add a kick to your reception with personalized hot sauce bottles for your guests like these offered on the Knot? If you want to give your guests something they’ll definitely use, going with an edible favor like hot sauce is totally the way to do. After all, it is football season!

3. “Fall in Love” Wine Bottle Stopper

What better way to dress up your favorite bottle of wine than with the rustic and warm tones of this copper fall leaf wine bottle stopper from Beau Coup?! And since each favor comes packaged in a clear gift box with a festive fall motif with a matching copper organza ribbon and printed “Fall in Love” hang tag, they’re ready to go…no “assembly” required!

4. Custom Candles

I’m not sure why, but a nice, scented burning candle just reminds me of fall and the upcoming holiday season…which is why I think it’s awesome that Yankee Candle offers personalized candles (with custom photo labels) for wedding favors! Choose your candle scent — I’m really feeling flavors like Vanilla Satin and Cinnamon Stick for the season – and they’ll make a custom “branded” candle for you and your hunny’s special day!

5. Cheese Spreader with Wine Cork Handle

Everyone who entertains needs a nice cheese plate and spreader, so why not give your guests this lovely little item from Beau Coup as a favor? Packaged in autumn shades, this works perfectly for fall nuptials and autumn get-togethers alike!

What other great favors are you feeling for fall?

I tried going online to make the custom Yankee candle and can’t figure it out. Do you know how to go about ordering them?
